FAQ

Why this project?

Data Science has a playbook, but no one has spent the time to lay it out and make it accessible to the people that would benefit most from it. This project fills that gap.

Read the story behind this project in our Substack post.

Where can I find more information about the Data Science Shop?

You can find more information about the Data Science Shop at our companion Substack where we use informative posts and infographics to continue unpacking the practice of Data Science, clarify what it can do for a business, detail how it operates in a company (outside of Big Tech), and explain what it needs to succeed. We are also devoting posts to disclose what it takes to be a great Data Scientist beyond algorithms and explain technology for non-technical readers. Make sure to subscribe!

There is a companion book manuscript that not only explains the “what” of Data Science, but also the “how”. We’ll share news on that front soon!
